Publication Date: 1/10/2008

Rhodes’ Masters of Science in Accounting Program is featured in The Memphis Business Journal (Jan. 4-10 issue). Dr. Pamela Church and Dr. Deborah Pittman of Rhodes’ Department of Economics and Business Administration are quoted in the article written by Michael Hill. “Admission to the program has nearly tripled since its inception in 1993,” writes Hill.

Rhodes student Cartin Lawnin, who has completed his first semester of the program as well as accepted a job offer with a major accounting firm, says in the article that the small class size is a key attraction of the program.

Tom Hook, who graduated from the program in 2007 and now works for Ernst & Young, says in the article, “What really sets Rhodes apart from other schools is its focus on critical thinking and communications skills.”
