Rhodes Students Among Presenters at Computational Chemistry Conference

Two senior chemistry majors recently presented research at the 16th Conference on Current Trends in Computational Chemistry in Jackson, Miss.
Lori Culberson ’08 presented a poster “Novel Density Functional Theory Methods for Describing Dispersion Interactions” and Jessica Cross ’08 presented “Can DFT Dissolve Carbon Dioxide in Water?” Karina Van Sickle ’08 also was a coauthor on this presentation.
Cross and Culberson won third place over all poster sessions.
