Zastoupil Presents Research at the Nehru Centre in London

Lynn Zastoupil, the J. J. McComb Professor of History at Rhodes, recently gave a lecture on “Rammohun Roy and British Anti-Slavery” at the Nehru Centre of the High Commission of India in London, England. His talk was sponsored by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
Zastoupil currently is writing a book on Rammohun Roy′s celebrity status and influence on reform movements in early 19th Century Britain. The American Philosophical Society also awarded him a Franklin Research Grant to support his research.
